Wimberlygunj, Nov. 23: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Andaman formally launched the nationwide initiative “Campaign for the Rights of Neighbours” on 21st November 2025 at 5:30 PM at the MIM Auditorium, Wimberly Gunj, in alignment with the national call issued by JIH National President Syed Sadatullah Husaini. The campaign will be observed across the Islands from 21st to 30th November 2025 under the theme “Ideal Neighbourhood, Ideal Society.”
The launch ceremony was presided over by MK Mohammed, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Andaman, in the presence of senior JIH members and associates of JIH Andaman. Addressing the gathering, MK Mohammed highlighted that neighbourly rights hold immense significance in Islam and are essential for building a compassionate and cohesive society. He emphasized that the campaign aims to revive mutual respect, empathy, and goodwill among residents of the Islands, cutting across faith and community.
Speaking at the event, JIH leaders reiterated that modern individualistic lifestyles, especially in urban and semi-urban areas often weaken neighbourly relations. This campaign seeks to counter this trend by encouraging meaningful interaction, responsible conduct, and community-building practices rooted in values of kindness, justice, and compassion.
Throughout the 10-day campaign, members of JIH Andaman will visit their neighbours across the Islands, fostering friendly relations and understanding
The campaign encourages every member of society to participate actively and help rebuild an environment where neighbours care for one another, resolve conflicts amicably, and jointly contribute to the welfare of their localities.
