Sri Vijaya Puram, May 25: In the finale of the 7th State Level U-17 Boys Football Tournament, the team Little Andaman will lock horns with Car Nicobar tomorrow (May 26) at 3 PM at Netaji Stadium while semi-final loosers viz Rangat and Nancowrie will clash for the third-place match scheduled tomorrow (May 26) at 6 AM at JNRM Ground.
Meanwhile, the fourth day of the Tournament at Netaji Stadium today witnessed thrilling action as the semi-final clashes kept spectators on the edge of their seats, with teams putting everything on the line for a spot in the much-anticipated final.
In the first semi-final, Rangat faced off against Little Andaman in a hard-fought match that remained goalless through both regular and extra time. The game was ultimately decided by a tiebreaker, where Little Andaman triumphed 03–01 to secure their place in the final.
The second semi-final between Car Nicobar and Nancowrie was the most exciting and nail-biting match of the tournament so far. Both teams scored a goal each during regulation and extra time, leading to a dramatic tiebreaker. In a tense shootout, Car Nicobar edged past Nancowrie 06–05, booking their spot in the grand finale.
