Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 8: Maa Foundation celebrated International Disability Day on December 6, 2025, at Haddo Ward No. 1 in Sri Vijaya Puram with great enthusiasm and participation. The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Shri S. Shahul Hameed, Chairperson of SVPMC and the Guest of Honour, Shri Sanjay Balan, retired Deputy Director of Civil Supplies.
Maa Foundation Diglipur also organized and celebrated International Disability Day on December 3, 2025, by holding various programmes and games for special persons at Diglipur Sitanagar. The program in Haddo commenced with a welcome address by Maa Foundation’s Secretary, D. Vasanthi Kumari. Various competitions were organised for the special children from Junglighat School and Haddo School, subsequently distributing prizes to the winners and gifts to all the participants.
The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with numerous cultural programs put up by the children. Special children and their parents actively participated in the day’s events. To conclude the memorable day, gifts and snacks were distributed to all attendees. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Maa Foundation President, M. Brundawathi, expressing gratitude to all the guests and parents for their valued presence.
Special guests for the occasion were Shri Someshwar Rao, Councillor of Haddo Ward No. 2, SVPMC; Shri R. Sethukkari, Vice Principal of GSSS Haddo; and Shri Wahid Shah, General Secretary of the A&N Artist Welfare Federation.
