During the interaction, Shri Mandeep Grewal expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Home Minister for fulfilling the long-pending and much-needed request of establishing an Old Age Home for Women in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. He stated that this noble initiative will provide dignity, care, and security to elderly women, especially those who are destitute or without family support, and will have a lasting social impact on the islands.

Grewal also took the opportunity to apprise the Minister of other pressing social concerns of the islands. He requested the establishment of a Rehabilitation and De-addiction Centre to address the growing issue of substance abuse among youth and vulnerable sections of society.
