Rangat, Feb. 12: A Mini Marathon was organized by ICDS Project Rangat under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative today to promote awareness about the importance of saving and educating the girl child. The marathon witnessed active participation of girls aged 10–18 years from various schools of Rangat. The young participants displayed remarkable energy and commitment, carrying placards and spreading messages on girl child education, safety, and empowerment.
The event was flagged off by Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman (SDM), Shri Vikas Kumar, who appreciated the efforts of ICDS Project, Rangat in organizing such a meaningful program and emphasized that educating and empowering girls is essential for the social and economic development of the nation.
The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), ICDS Rangat, highlighted that the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign is a collective movement that requires active participation from families, schools, and society at large. The program ended with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the cooperation of schools, teachers, Anganwadi workers, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.
