Ministry of Labour & Employment Proposes Special Registration Campaign for PM-SYN and NPS-Traders Schemes

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 18: The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India has proposed a nationwide Special Registration Campaign in a phased manner for the PM-SYM and NPS-Traders Schemes. Accordingly, the Labour Department will organize a Spot Registration Camp for a period of five (05) days from 22.02.2026 to 26.02.2026 at the Workers Facilitation Centre, Dairy Farm, Sri Vijaya Puram, for registration of unorganized workers, small traders/shopkeepers, and self-employed persons under the PM-SYM & NPS-Traders Schemes.

All eligible unorganized workers, small traders/shopkeepers, and self-employed persons have been requested to attend and register themselves at the above venue on the specified dates between 10 am and 4 pm for online enrollment and to avail the benefits of the schemes introduced by the Ministry.

Those unable to attend the camp may contact their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for enrollment under the above schemes.

The eligibility, scheme benefits, and enrollment criteria are detailed below:

Eligibility

Unorganized Workers (PM-SYM):

-Monthly income up to ₹15,000

-Age between 18–40 years

-Not covered under EPFO/ESIC/NPS

-Not an income tax payer

Small Traders/Shopkeepers (PM-LVM):

-Age between 18–40 years

-Annual turnover up to ₹1.5 crore

-Not an income tax payer

Scheme Benefits

-Voluntary and contributory pension scheme

-Minimum assured pension of ₹3,000 per month after attaining 60 years of age

-50% family pension payable to spouse after the death of the subscriber

-Equal matching contribution by the Central Government
