Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 20: Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands felicitated the National Sqay Martial Art players of ISMAA, affiliated with the Sqay Martial Art Federation Bharat, from the A&N Islands, who brought immense pride to the Islands by securing 66 Gold, 8 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals in the 4th National Sqay Martial Art Championship held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The Islands’ team further distinguished itself by winning the Overall All-India 2nd Position Trophy along with two Champion of Champions Trophies, reflecting their remarkable talent, discipline, and dedication to the sport.
Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble MP congratulated all the players and appreciated the relentless commitment of the Chief Coach, Dr. M.D. Selvam, Grand Master, World Sqay Martial Association, acknowledging his tireless voluntary service to the A&N Islands for over thirty-five years.
He extended his heartfelt wishes to the young athletes, expressing confidence that they will continue to excel and bring greater glory to the Islands and the nation in their future endeavours. The MP lauded the achievements of the players and encouraged them to continue representing the Islands with pride and honor.
