
Rangat, Dec. 7: A special commemorative Padyatra was jointly organized by Mera Yuva Bharat, Rangat (MYBharat) in collaboration with the District Administration, Rangat at Zilla Parishad Hall, Rangat today as part of the 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The programme aimed to honour the life and contributions of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and to promote the spirit of unity, integrity, and nationalism among the youth and the community.
The Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti Rangat, Ms Sita Majhi as the chief guest, administered the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) pledge in the presence of the guest of honour, Dr. Sushim Kumar Biswas, DEO, Rangat. The dignitaries also paid tribute by garlanding Patel’s portrait.
The chief guest urged all participants to contribute towards building a self-reliant and united nation. She also flagged off the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rally, which started from Zilla Parishad Hall, Rangat to Hawamahal Junction and back. Students from GSSS Rangat presented a vibrant cultural programme highlighting themes of patriotism and national unity. A large number of participants, including NCC, students, officials, Police Department, Education Department, Health Department, and various Panchayats PRI members and public, took part in the event with great enthusiasm.
