Car Nicobar, March 27: In a moment of great pride for the Car Nicobar Islands, Ms. Namita Voilet, a trainee of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) STC, Car Nicobar, has brought laurels to the nation by winning a Silver Medal at the prestigious Asian Track Cycling Championship underway at the Tagaytay City Velodrome, Philippines, from 25th to 31st March, 2026. Ms. Namita Voilet, representing India with outstanding performance & determination secured the Silver Medal in the Women’s Junior Team Sprint Event, along with her teammates: Aabha Soman (Maharashtra), A. Jai Jyotshna, Thabitha S (Tamil Nadu). This remarkable achievement highlights the growing sporting excellence emerging from the islands and marks a significant milestone for Car Nicobar.
