
Diglipur, Aug. 19: A new Health Sub-Centre was inaugurated at Shanti Nagar by Shri. Kamleshwar Rao S, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur yesterday in the presence of Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Diglipur, Chief Medical Officer, Sub District Hospital, Diglipur, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Gandhinagar and local residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, AC (Diglipur) highlighted that the A&N Administration is committed to improving healthcare infrastructure in rural and remote areas to ensure that essential health services reach the last mile. He urged the public to utilize the services of the Sub-Centre and assured continued support for further improvements in healthcare delivery. It may be recalled that the inaugural STS bus service to Shanti Nagar Village commenced in July.
The Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti Diglipur and the Pradhan Gram Panchayat Gandhinagar expressed that this Health Sub-Centre will play a crucial role in reducing travel time for villagers seeking medical attention and will help in promoting preventive healthcare.
The Health Sub-Centre has been established to strengthen primary healthcare delivery in the region and ensure better access to medical facilities for the rural population. It will cater to the healthcare needs of the households in and around Shanti Nagar, providing services such as maternal and child healthcare, immunization, basic treatment, and preventive health education.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shalini Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Sub-District Hospital, Diglipur who appreciated the cooperation of the community in making the project successful.
