Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 5: A Nikshay Shivir was conducted under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Betapur, under the supervision of Dr. Shailaja, MO I/c, PHC Billiground today in the presence of Fr. Remand Tigga and Assistant Fr. Thomas Lakra. During the camp, TB and NCD screening were successfully carried out. The medical team comprised of Dr. Kesavan Murugesan (MO, PHC Billiground), Dr. S. Triveni Manju (MO Ayurveda), ANM, HWC Betapur, PHC Billiground staff, MPHW, CHO, and ANMs. The activities were coordinated by Mr. R. Durga Rao, Senior Treatment Supervisor (NTEP).
A total of 76 participants attended the camp, out of which 58 were identified as vulnerable and screened for TB. Among them, 55 asymptomatic individuals were referred for chest X-ray only, and 3 symptomatic vulnerable individuals were referred for both chest X-ray and NAAT testing for further diagnosis.
