Mayabunder, Nov. 4: The District Administration, North & Middle Andaman will launch a new grassroots public outreach initiative titled “Sampark se Samadhan–Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” on Nov. 5 by the Deputy Commissioner (N&MA), aimed at enhancing direct engagement with citizens and strengthening participatory governance across the district.
This initiative has been designed to bring the Administration to the doorstep of people and reinforce the commitment towards responsive, transparent and citizen-centric governance. Under this programme, the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, along with the concerned Assistant Commissioners, Revenue Officials, and Heads of all line departments, will visit different villages across the district on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
During these visits, the team will meet PRI members, local residents, hear their issues, grievances, assess developmental requirements and ensure on-the-spot resolution wherever possible. Issues requiring higher-level intervention will be escalated to the competent authorities for timely action. In the first phase, DC NMA will visit Diglipur on 7th, 8th and 9th of November, 2025. This also highlights the vision of the Chief Secretary and Commissioner (Revenue) to connect administration with the people of the district.
The District Administration is confident that this programme will ensure that the voice of every citizen is heard and addressed in a proactive manner, thereby strengthening grassroots democracy and accelerating development in North & Middle Andaman.
