Sri Vijaya Puram, March 18: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit–II of B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon, Sri Vijaya Puram, successfully organized an Orientation Programme on 18th March 2026 at the Auditorium, DBRAIT, South Andaman.
A total of approximately 500 students from DBRAIT participated enthusiastically in the programme. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. E. Muthu Kumaran, NSS Programme Officer (Unit–II). The programme was coordinated by Ms. Anupama Rai, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.
The orientation session was delivered by Dr. C. Samuel Chelliah, Deputy Programme Advisor & Regional Director (Chennai), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. He highlighted the importance of the NSS scheme, its objectives, various activities, and awards associated with it. He also emphasized the significance of developing the right attitude, the value of smart work, discipline, and character building among students.
The programme proved to be highly informative, productive, and impactful. It reflected the true spirit of the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You.” NSS Unit–II looks forward to organizing and implementing more meaningful initiatives for the holistic development of students and the community.
