Officials of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana Review Implementation of NRLM Initiatives of Rangat Block

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 4: Officials from the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), under the Ministry of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Government of India, namely Smti. Jui Bhattacharya, National Mission Manager, and Shri Shivaji Choudhary, National Spokesperson, conducted a two-day official visit from 3rd to 4th November, 2025 to Rangat Block to review the ongoing implementation of various NRLM initiatives at the Self Help Group (SHG), Village Organization (VO), and Cluster Level Federation (CLF) levels.

During the visit, the officials interacted with members of Jyoti SHG, Sabari Gram Panchayat, and reviewed the progress of livelihood promotion, financial inclusion, and capacity-building activities undertaken under DAY-NRLM. They appreciated the efforts of SHG women in improving their income-generation and social empowerment through collective action and enterprise development.

The team also held discussions with the office bearers of Uday Village Organization of GP Sabari and Dweep Sakhi Cluster Level Federation of CD Block Rangat to assess governance, book-keeping, inter-loaning, and convergence activities with line departments. They encouraged the community institutions to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and ensure transparency and accountability in all operations.

Smti. Bhattacharya and Shri Choudhary emphasized the importance of continued support for women’s collectives to achieve sustainable livelihoods and also highlighted the Government’s commitment to rural poverty reduction through inclusive development.

On this occasion, Shri Pradeep Kumar Singh, Block Development Officer, Rangat, shared his views on the continuous efforts being taken towards empowering rural women in the true sense, enabling them not only to achieve sustainable livelihoods but also to play an active role in addressing social issues within their communities.

The visit concluded with a meeting with the Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU) officials and block administration, where the officials reviewed key performance indicators and provided constructive feedback to further improve the mission’s outreach and impact in the Rangat Block.
