Oil India Limited Extends Consistent Support to CCIs Under Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 13: A CSR support program was successfully organized by the State Child Protection Society, Directorate of Social Welfare in collaboration with Oil India Limited, reaffirming their continued commitment towards the welfare and development of children residing in Child Care Institutions (CCIs).

This joint initiative began in 2023 with the objective of strengthening infrastructure and improving educational facilities in care institutions. Since the inception of this collaboration, Oil India Limited has extended consistent support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

In the earlier phase of the program, water purifiers and smart TVs were provided to all Child Care Institutions to ensure safe drinking water and improved access to educational content. Continuing this commitment, computers, printers, and projectors have now been distributed to further enhance digital learning and skill development opportunities for children.

The Nodal Officer Mission Vatsalya scheme emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between the government and corporate sector in strengthening child protection services.

The Director, Social Welfare, Shri Ravinder Kumar appreciated the sustained partnership and stated that the support extended by Oil India Limited has significantly contributed to improving facilities in Child Care Institutions. He reiterated the Department’s commitment to ensuring quality care, education, and overall development of children.

The General Manager of Oil India Limited, Shri Arindam Bardoloi, expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the State Child Protection Society Directorate of Social Welfare and all Child Care Institutions. He assured that Oil India Limited will continue to coordinate and support such initiatives in the future for the benefit of children. The event also featured cultural performances by children Balika Niketan & Love children Home, showcasing their confidence and talent.

This initiative reflects the strong and effective functioning of the State Child Protection Society, Directorate of Social Welfare in building sustainable partnerships and ensuring better facilities, digital access, and development opportunities for children in care institution.
