Sri Vijaya Puram, March 18: One Stop Centre, Directorate of Social Welfare conducts Extensive Awareness and Cleanliness Activities during Swachhata Pakhwada. During Swachhata Pakhwada (March 1–15), the One Stop Centre (OSC), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, conducted a series of awareness programmes and cleanliness drives across multiple locations to promote hygiene, sanitation, and community participation. The activities included awareness session at the Anganwadi Centre, Ranchi Basti, cleanliness drive at the Anganwadi Centre, Nayagaon, Community Hall, Nayasahar, and Junglighat to promote a clean and healthy environment.
Awareness programme was organized for women and adolescent girls, focusing on personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene management, sanitation practices at Thoratang Nallah. An Interaction session was conducted in the Community Hall, Calicut and plantation drive along with a cleanliness activity at the Community Hall, Namunaghar, to promote a clean and green environment. Awareness session was also organized at Gandhi Nagar Gram Panchayat, where participants were educated on proper hand washing practices, the importance of using sanitary pads, and maintaining personal hygiene
