Diglipur, Feb. 20: An Outreach Health Camp was successfully organized at Narayan Tikrey under Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) Kalighat, under the leadership of Dr. Yogeshwaran SR, Medical Officer-in-Charge, HWC Kalighat, in coordination with the Sub-District Hospital, Diglipur and District Health Society, Mayabunder, North and Middle Andaman.
An awareness a session was conducted by Dr. Shipra Mistry, Medical Officer (Ayurveda) on leprosy, highlighting its causes, signs and symptoms, along with session on the harmful effects of tobacco consumption.
The camp activities included NCD screening, Hb screening, and eye screening. Both Ayurvedic and allopathic consultations were provided to the beneficiaries. Necessary medicines were also dispensed as per medical advice. The whole programme was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Shalini Singh, CMO i/c, SDH Diglipur.
