Pashu Camp Organised Today at Pokadera

Mayabunder, Feb. 25: The C.D. Block Mayabunder, in convergence with the AH&VS and GP Pokadera organized a Pashu Camp today at Ward No. 01, GP Pokadera under Mayabunder Block. The initiative was conducted with the objective of supporting Self Help Group (SHG) members under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) for the promotion of livestock development and ensuring improved animal health.

The program witnessed the presence of Dr. M. Sujata Hegde, Senior Veterinary Officer, Mayabunder, Shri Sanjeev Narayan, Extension Officer, Shri Jayselan, Ward Member, Cluster Coordinator, Community Resource Persons (CRPs), Shri Naushad Malik, Senior Veterinary Compounder and along with a team of Para Veterinary staff from Department of AH & VS.

Dr. M. Sujata Hegde, Senior Veterinary Officer, along with her veterinary team, addressed the gathering and emphasized various key schemes and programs available for livestock farmers.

During the camp, Veterinary Officer conducted health check-ups and examined 46 Nos. of cattle, goats and 1 No. of Dog brought by SHG members and Livestock owners. Apart from this symptomatic treatment was also provided to poultry Birds. Further necessary guidance, treatments, and recommendations were provided to livestock owners to ensure better animal health and productivity.
