Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 2: The Pawn to Queen Chess Club was formally inaugurated today at Govt. Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sri Vijaya Puram, with active participation from students and teachers. The club aims to promote chess among students by offering training, regular practice sessions, and opportunities to compete in inter-school and higher-level tournaments.
The Chess Club was inaugurated by Smti. Sangeeta Chand, Principal of the school, who made the ceremonial first move on the chessboard against S. Bhavishya, a Class VI student of the school. Bhavishya is a promising chess player from the school. The Principal felicitated her on the occasion in recognition of her outstanding achievements.
