
Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 01: Ms. Namita Violet, a promising junior cyclist and trainee of SAI STC Car Nicobar, has brought laurels to the nation by winning the Gold Medal in the Team Sprint Event at the Asia Cup Track Cycling 2026, held at Chennai, Tamil Nadu from 29th to 31st Jan., 2026.
In recognition of her outstanding performance and consistent dedication, Ms. Violet has also been selected as a member of the Junior Indian Cycling Team for the upcoming Asian Track Cycling Championships 2026, scheduled to be held in the Philippines from 26th to 30th March, 2026.
Ms. Violet is undergoing training at SAI STC Car Nicobar under the expert guidance of Shri Vishwajit B. Sutar, Centre In-Charge & Assistant Coach (Cycling), Shri Anand V., Assistant Coach (Cycling).
The achievement is a proud moment for the entire Centre and reflects the continuous efforts and support extended by Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas Eastern Centre (NSEC), Kolkata, under the leadership of Smt. Amar Jyoti, Executive Director, SAI NSEC Kolkata, Shri Ravi Kalra (OPS), Deputy Director, SAI NSEC Kolkata.
