Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RSBVP) 2025–26 – GYANODAYA Concludes

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 22: The two-day Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RSBVP) 2025–26 – GYANODAYA organised by the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha and NCERT, New Delhi concluded today. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, visited the exhibition venue and interacted with the students, and listened attentively to their presentations. He appreciated their scientific spirit, dedication, and creativity.

Shri Vikram Singh, Director of Education, interacted with the participating students and science teachers, encouraging them to pursue innovation, apply scientific thinking, and work towards solving local issues through creative ideas. An interactive session on ‘Plastic Pollution & Plastic Waste Management’ was conducted by Prof. S. V. Sharma from the National Institute of Education, NCERT, New Delhi.

In the afternoon, the valedictory session was held in which, Shri L. Kumar, Secretary (Education) was the chief guest. He visited the stalls, observed the exhibits displayed by students of all nine Educational Zones, and interacted with the young innovators. In his address, he encouraged the budding young scientists and wished them a bright and prosperous future.

A total of 20 prizes were awarded across various categories for Middle, Secondary, and Senior Secondary sections. Special awards were also presented in categories such as CwSN participation, Popular Exhibit (selected by all participants), National Children’s Science Congress, Flower Show, Craft, and Waste-to-Wonder, along with recognition for outstanding science exhibits.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Smti. P. Shobha, Science Consultant, DDE (Science). Meanwhile, as part of their exposure programme, inter-Island student participants visited the Science Centre today.
