Sri Vijaya Puram, April 12: Ration Rasheed Foundation has undertaken a thoughtful initiative to support the local fishing community by distributing large umbrellas to fishermen, helping them protect themselves from the scorching heat.
Fishermen spend long hours under direct sunlight while carrying out their daily livelihood activities. Understanding the hardships, they face, the Foundation stepped forward to provide practical support in the form of durable, large-sized umbrellas designed to offer shade and relief during extreme weather conditions.
A representative from Ration Rasheed Foundation said, “Our fishermen play a vital role in sustaining the coastal economy. Through this initiative, we aim to provide them with some comfort and protection from the harsh sun they endure every day.”
The fishermen who received the umbrellas expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating that the support would significantly improve their working conditions and help them stay protected during peak heat hours.
