Sri Vijaya Puram, March 20: In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare services at the grassroots level, the District Administration, South Andaman, through the District Health Society under the aegis of the UT Health Mission (NHM), A&N Islands, is organizing a Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Camp at Little Andaman on 21st and 22nd March, 2026.
The initiative is being conducted in coordination with the Directorate of Health Services, ANIIMS, and Pillar Health Centre, with the objective of bringing specialist healthcare services closer to the community.
A team of medical professionals, including a Pediatrician from ANIIMS and a Gynecologist from Pillar Health Centre, will provide comprehensive health screening and medical consultation for pregnant women and children, ensuring timely diagnosis, care, and guidance.
The camp will be held as per the following schedule:
March 21, 2026: PHC / AAM Hutbay at 9 am onwards
March 22, 2026: PHC/ AAM R.K. Pur at 9 am onwards
In addition, the District Programme Manager, District Health Society (SA) will conduct awareness sessions on various health services and their effective utilization, aimed at empowering the local community and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) with essential health-related knowledge. The District Administration urges all residents of Little Andaman to avail the specialist health services being provided at their doorstep.
