Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 18 (Report: Dr. Dinesh): The Rotary Club of Port Blair, in association with the Directorate of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, will be an active part of the Pulse Polio Programme on 21st December, 2025, reaffirming a shared commitment to protect every child from polio.
Pulse Polio is a flagship humanitarian project of Rotary International worldwide. Through decades of relentless effort, Rotary, along with its global partners, has played a historic role in eradicating polio from most parts of the world, with the disease now remaining only in a few countries.
This programme aims to ensure that every child receives life-saving polio drops, strengthening community immunity and advancing the mission of a polio-free world. The initiative reflects Rotary’s core values of Service Above Self, public health advocacy, and community partnership.
Rtn. Deepak Kumar, President of the Rotary Club of Port Blair, along with the members of the club, has shown keen interest and wholehearted commitment towards the successful implementation of this programme, reinforcing Rotary’s continued leadership in public health initiatives.
Parents and caregivers are urged to actively participate and bring their children to designated booths, as two drops can protect a lifetime.
Together, with Rotary’s leadership, let us protect our children and sustain the global victory against polio.
