Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 23: The tenth and final day of the Saras Mela drew to a close today, marking a spirited celebration of local talent and community participation. The closing ceremony featured a felicitation by Dr. Apurva Sharma, Director (RD/P), acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers.
A series of cultural performances followed, reflecting the rich diversity and energy of the participants. SHG members, accompanied by Shri N. Paul, Cluster Coordinator, Car Nicobar, presented a melodious song that captivated the audience. This was followed by dynamic dance performances by Sippighat SHGs of Prothrapur Block and Nancowry SHG group, both of which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Smti. Lalitha Tigga, Block Development Officer, Ferrargunj welcomed the gathering, setting an enthusiastic tone for the concluding events. The valedictory function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Menoka Das, Cluster Resource Person, Diglipur, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Mela.
