State Health Agency Organises Awareness-cum-ABHA ID Card Creation Drive at CHC Diglipur

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 5: Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI. In order to create awareness about the ABDM initiative, the State Health Agency (SHA), A&N Islands (the implementing agency for ABDM in the UT), organised an awareness-cum-ABHA ID card creation drive at CHC Diglipur and Gram Panchayat Wimberlygunj on Feb. 4 & 5 respectively.

During the programme, the Programme Management Unit (PMU), ABDM team provided an overview of the key components of ABDM, including the Health Professional Registry (HPR) and Health Facility Registry (HFR).

The team also explained the process of ABHA number generation and its importance in enabling individuals to link and access their health records digitally. A total of around 138 ABHA ID cards were created during the drive.
