Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 15: As part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) will be organizing a series of programmes under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ initiative from 17th September to 2nd October, 2025 to encourage public participation and spread the message that cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility.
The fortnight-long drive will be inaugurated on 17th September, 2025 at 7 AM in front of National Memorial Cellular Jail with a Swachhata Pledge followed by a Mass Cleanliness Drive from National Memorial Cellular Jail to Clock Tower. The programme will be attended by the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (UD), A&N Administration, as the chief guest, along with the Chairperson, SVC, JVC Councillors, staff, and other dignitaries.
The SVPMC has invited the general public to actively participate in this event and contribute towards creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. The presence and involvement of the general public will not only strengthen the spirit of community participation but also inspire others to take collective responsibility in realizing the vision of a Swachh Bharat.
This campaign is not just about cleaning our surroundings, but also about nurturing a culture of responsibility, respect for public spaces and commitment to a healthier future for generations to come. By joining hands, citizens can help transform the vision of a Swachh and Swasth Bharat
