
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 12: The three-day workshop on Holistic Progress Card (HPC) implementation and PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024-2025 results dissemination concluded successfully at Shiksha Sadan on 12th September 2025. Organised jointly by PARAKH, NCERT New Delhi, and the State Institute of Education (SIE), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the workshop marked a significant milestone in advancing NEP-aligned assessment reforms.
The valedictory ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from 100 teachers across all educational zones, with 50 attending in-person and 50 joining virtually. The comprehensive training sessions, expertly conducted by NCERT faculty members along with PARAKH master trainers from SIE, equipped participants with practical implementation strategies for the Holistic Progress Card across Foundational, Preparatory, and Middle stages, including learning decoding PRS results.
Principal, SIE expressed heartfelt gratitude to Professor Indrani Bhaduri, CEO and Head of PARAKH, NCERT for her proactive leadership in conducting this transformative workshop. She acknowledged Prof. Bhaduri’s visionary keynote address, delivered through video conferencing, which emphasized PARAKH’s pivotal role in moving India’s education system from rote learning to competency-based holistic evaluations.
The workshop successfully achieved its objectives of enhancing teacher capacity and institutional readiness for implementing HPC initiatives. Notably, the HPC has already been implemented across all grades from Balvatika to Grade 12 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with hard copies supplied to all schools. This training aimed at ensuring better implementation and realizing the vision of NEP. Participants committed to disseminating the acquired knowledge to their respective schools, ensuring widespread adoption of these innovative assessment frameworks that prioritize critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skill application over traditional academic evaluations.
