Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar. 1: A 3-days Refresher ‘Training-cum-Exhibition’ for Trained Nodal Teachers of Govt. & Govt. Aided Schools of South, North & Middle & Nicobar District on HWA under AB- SHWP jointly initiated by the MoHFW and MoE, GoI was organized by the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education in collaboration with the Health Department, A & N Administration from Feb. 26 to 28 in the Conference Hall of Shiksha Sadan. Earlier, Shri Gyan Sheel Dubey, Head of Office, Directorate of Education, SVP as the chief guest & Dr. Shiny Varghese, Deputy Director (Family Welfare), DHS as the guest of honour inaugurated the programme. A total of 55 teachers, including GTTs, PETs, and PGTs, from all Educational Zones participated in the Training-cum-Exhibition.
On the second day, a field visit to GSS Calicut was conducted, during which the teachers displayed their innovative and remarkable TLMs to the students of the school. This interaction served as a catalyst for raising awareness about various health-related issues among the students.
The valedictory session was held today in which Shri Ram Parvesh, Deputy Director of Education (Sc.), was the chief guest.
