Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 2: Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah arrived on visit to A&N Islands today. On arrival, at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Sri Vijaya Puram, he was received by Admiral D. K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency, along with Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Director General of Police, Shri Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, senior officers of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, public representatives and others.
The Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah will inaugurate and witness an exhibition on ‘New Criminal Laws’ at ITF Ground in the afternoon tomorrow (January 3, 2026). Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation is scheduled to electronically inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several landmark development projects in the Islands at a function to be held on January 3 at 3.30 pm at Netaji Stadium.
Following the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony, the Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah will address the gathering. The function will also be graced by the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands and other dignitaries.
