
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 11: The Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat, conducted an Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme on Sept. 1 & 4 as part of its ongoing efforts to control the stray dog population and address related public health concerns.
During the programme, 8 male dogs were castrated and 6 female dogs were spayed under the supervision of the Hospital’s Veterinary Incharge and team.
The Animal Birth Control initiative is being carried out to ensure humane management of the dog population, reduce the risk of zoonotic diseases, and promote a healthier coexistence between community animals and residents.
The Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat, will continue to organize such activities in the coming days and urges citizens to extend their cooperation in the public welfare initiative.
