Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 11: The Inter School Chess Tournament for U-17 Boys of Sri Vijaya Puram Educational Zone was held today at Teachers’ Home, VIP Road. The event was organized by the Deputy Education Officer (DEO), South Andaman.
After five rounds of intense competition, Virat J. S. of VKV Lambaline emerged as the winner, securing a perfect score of five points out of five rounds while Shrihaan Karmakar of GSSS Bathubasti was the runner up.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held at the Multipurpose Hall on Sept. 12.
