Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 31: A 31-day Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) training programme commenced at SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sri Vijaya Puram, on Monday with a ceremonial flag-off ceremony.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri R. Natarajan, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India (SBI), Local Head Office, Kolkata, in the presence of Shri Naveen Kumar Gupta, General Manager, SBI; Shri Mukul Kumar Singh Manna, Deputy General Manager, SBI; and Shri Santosh Sahu, Regional Manager, SBI.
Around 30 trainees have enrolled for the training programme, of which 23 are women.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Natarajan encouraged the trainees to make the most of the opportunity to acquire a new skill that could help them establish livelihood ventures upon successful completion of the course. Emphasising the importance of women’s empowerment, he said that when a woman is empowered, she contributes to the empowerment of her family, society, state and the nation as a whole.
He wished all the trainees a successful and fruitful completion of the training programme.
The programme is being conducted as part of SBI RSETI’s efforts to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical skills and support them in becoming self-reliant.
