Namunaghar, April 27: The 4th Panchayat Sthapana Diwas successfully concluded at Namunaghar Panchayat on 27th April 2026 with great enthusiasm and community participation.
Shri Prakash Adhikari, Chairperson, Zilla Parishad South Andaman, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Smt. Padmawathi, Pramukh, Ferrargunj, attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
The programme was also attended by several distinguished dignitaries including Shri Venkateswar, Pradhan of Namunaghar Panchayat; Shri Simson, Up-Pramukh Ferrargunj; Shri Sarfuddin, Zilla Parishad Member; and Shri Shafique, Pradhan of Mithakhari, who all contributed to the significance of the event with their presence.
As part of the celebrations, various government departments participated through informative stalls showcasing their services and initiatives.
Among the participating departments, CIARI secured the first position, followed by the Agriculture Department in second place, and the Animal Husbandry Department in third place.
Addressing the gathering, Pradhan Shri Venkateswar expressed his satisfaction over the successful conduct of the programme and stated that such celebrations would continue in the coming years to strengthen grassroots governance and community engagement.
The event concluded on a positive note, highlighting the importance of Panchayati Raj institutions in local development and public welfare.
