Sri Vijaya Puram, April 21: The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has reviewed the pendency of applications pertaining to name correction in revenue records and observed that approximately 200 cases pending since the year 2021 require expeditious disposal.
With a view to ensuring timely redressal of grievances and improving service delivery to the public, and in line with the commitment of the District Administration under the SMART framework (Simple, Moral, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent), it has been decided to conduct Special Revenue Camp Courts as per the following schedule:
1. 22nd, 23rd & 24th April, 2026 – from 4 pm onwards.
2. 29th & 30th April, 2026 – from 9 am onwards.
During these Camp Courts, approximately 40 cases per day shall be taken up for hearing.
The concerned parties shall be intimated in advance through telephonic communication, and formal notices will also be issued through the Reader Section of the District Office, South Andaman.
All concerned have been requested to take note of it and extend necessary cooperation for the smooth and effective conduct of the Camp Courts.
Further, the A&N Administration has introduced various online services with a view to promoting ease of doing business and ensuring transparent and corruption-free service delivery.
In case of any complaints regarding corruption or any grievance, the same may be reported to the District Control Room on Toll-Free No. 1077 or lodged via email at dcandaman2016@gmail.com. Citizens are encouraged to submit their grievances without hesitation. Further, for any grievance or any complaints, public may also meet the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, between 3 pm and 4 pm on all working days for redressal of their grievances.
