Sri Vijaya Puram, April 23: The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project, Diglipur, successfully organized the Valedictory Programme of Poshan Pakhwada today, marking the culmination of a fortnight-long series of activities aimed at promoting nutrition awareness and healthy practices among women, children, and the community.
During the Poshan Pakhwada, a wide range of activities such as awareness campaigns, growth monitoring sessions, home visits, nutrition demonstrations, and community-based events were conducted across all Anganwadi Centres under ICDS Project Diglipur. Special emphasis was laid on improving Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, prevention of anemia, and the promotion of locally available nutritious foods.
The valedictory programme was held at the Administrative Building, Diglipur, in the presence of dignitaries from various line departments, frontline functionaries, and community members. The chief guest of the programme, Shri M Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur, in his address emphasized the crucial role of community participation and inter-departmental coordination in achieving the objectives of Poshan Pakhwada Smti Indira Devi, CDPO Diglipur, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Sipra Mistry, CHC Diglipur, emphasized the need to foster awareness and bring about behavioral change regarding nutrition.
