
Sri Vijaya Puram, April 23: Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS) today inaugurated its state-of-the-art STEM Lab in a grand ceremony. The event was graced by Shri B A Subramani, Retired Space Environmental Simulation Engineer, as the Chief Guest. Shri Subramani, a luminary in the field of space technology with 38 years of illustrious service at ISRO, cut the ribbon amidst applause, marking a significant milestone in MGIS’s pursuit of excellence in STEM education.
Shri Subramani interacted with students, appreciating their innovative projects and models on display, and encouraged them to pursue creativity and innovation in science and technology. He praised MGIS’s recent CBSE results, where students achieved 100% pass percentage, with top scorers like Ms. Nidhi Sikder, Shriya S Nair, Shivam Kumar, and Mehak Gulechha. He shared his vast experience in major Indian space missions, including his pivotal role in training ISRO’s Gaganyaan astronauts, inspiring students to explore space technology.
In his address, Shri Subramani emphasized the importance of STEM education in shaping India’s future, lauding MGIS’s efforts in creating a conducive environment for young minds to explore and innovate. Shri Subramani’s presence was a testament to MGIS’s commitment to excellence. His contributions to India’s space program and passion for nurturing young talent were truly inspiring.
