Sri Vijaya Puram, April 26: Towards zero tolerance against any crime, the team of Police Station Ograbraj had successfully solved a blind hit-and-run case within 05 hours of the incident.
On 22/04/2026, upon receipt of the information from PHC Chouldari regarding a road accident in Chouldari area, an FIR was promptly registered and a police team was immediately constituted. The team comprising Inspr. Stalin N. S., ASI(SG) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Ashok Roy, HC(SG) Abubacker Sidique, PC Jayanta Kumar Biswas, Rupesh Narayan, Aslam and Abdul Rahman.
The police team began an extensive search of accused through sustained efforts, coordinated teamwork and effective use of technical resources, accused was traced out and apprehended within 05 hours of the incident. Further, the vehicle involved in the incident was also recovered and seized.
The case was solved under the guidance of Inspector Stalin N S, SHO PS Ograbraj under the leadership of Shri Sunil, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat and overall supervision of Smti Shweta K Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
