Sri Vijaya Puram, April 28: The general public, PRIs and all Government Departments of Rangat, Mayabunder and Baratang have been informed that the DG sets at Rangat Bay Power House, which had recently developed faults have been successfully repaired and are now fully operational. DG-V at RBPH which developed a fault on 13.04.2026 has been restored on 27.04.2026 while DG-II which had break down on 20.04.2026 was promptly repaired and made operational on 21.04.2026. Further, a new 500 kVA DG set has been successfully commissioned at Baratang Power House and is presently under testing.
With the restoration of the DG sets and augmentation of generation capacity, no load shedding will be carried out with immediate effect. The Electricity Department appreciates the patience and cooperation extended by consumers during the disruption period and reiterates its commitment to strengthening the power infrastructure and ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply across the areas of Rangat, Mayabunder and Baratang.
