Sri Vijaya Puram, April 30: Over the last two months, Police Station Pahargaon received several complaints from the public regarding missing mobile phones. Acting swiftly under the supervision of Insp. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO PS Pahargaon, a dedicated team comprising SI Jyothi, PCs H. Nishar and Usman initiated immediate action.
All reported mobile phones were promptly put under technical surveillance. The team obtained and analysed relevant technical data and continuously monitored the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal. Sustained technical tracking and field verification led to the successful tracing and recovery of 10 lost mobile phones from different locations.
On 29/04/2026, the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their actual claimants at PS Pahargaon. The owners expressed heartfelt gratitude to the A&N Police for the prompt action and technical efficiency that helped them get back their valuable devices.
A&N Police appeals to the general public to immediately report lost or stolen mobile phones on the CEIR portal and to the nearest Police Station. Further, citizens are requested to share information about any found mobile phone not belonging to them on Phone No. 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-250525. Your cooperation may help return a lost phone to its actual owner.
