
Sri Vijaya Puram, May 10: An evening filled with melody, nostalgia and emotion came alive as the Jhumurr Socio-Cultural Society, Sri Vijaya Puram under its unit ‘The Harmony’ successfully presented the much-awaited musical show “Ye Bandhan To Pyaar Ka Bandhan Hai!” at Mansha Regency, Delanipur on 8th May, 2025.
Celebrating “The Voices That Defined An Era,” the programme in honour of legendary playback singers Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and likes of Anuradha Paudwal, Sadhna Sargam & Kavita Krishnamurthy, whose evergreen songs continue to resonate across generations.
The musical evening witnessed a warm response from music lovers, who gathered to relive the unmatchable era of Hindi film music. From soulful romantic melodies to energetic chartbusters of the era, every performance evoked nostalgia and received applause from the audience.
The programme featured captivating performances by prominent Artistes including Shailender Singh, Aktar Hussain, Parwati Anil, Koyal, Ananya Karak, Arunima Ghosh, Salma, Rajesh Ghosh, Supriya Kayal and Asheesh Poddar, who beautifully recreated the magic and charm of iconic numbers of hindi cinema with their soulful renditions and stage presence.
The elegant décor, soothing ambience and seamless coordination added grandeur to the evening. The audience, along with very special guests of the evening Smt. Zubaida Begum, Ex-Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Sri Vijaya Puram and Smt. Kakali Podder, the Islands’ noted Classical Dance Exponent/Choreographer; and the Renowned Artistes Smt. Minaz Nadeem & Shri Abdul Rasheed among others got engaged during the programme, wholeheartedly appreciating the soulful renditions that transformed the evening into a celebration of shared memories and timeless music.
The concert, coordinated by Shailender Singh and Aktar Hussain, anchored by Jacinta Ekka and concieved by Asheesh Poddar, was widely appreciated for its thoughtful presentation and emotional connect with the audience.
