Sri Vijaya Puram, May 21: RGPRS State President Shri O. Bashir, Ferrargunj Block President Shri Mohammad Ali, and RGPRS State Organization Secretary Shri T. Shaji today met Dr. M. Sujata Hegde, Director In-Charge of the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department (AH & VS), and Joint Director Dr. Ajay Verma to discuss various issues related to the general public and livestock owners.
During the meeting, the issue of severe staff shortage in the Animal Husbandry Department in Ferrargunj Tehsil, unavailability of essential medicines, and lack of proper veterinary services was specifically raised. The delegation stated that there is no veterinary vehicle available to transport sick animals to the hospital in the area, causing significant hardships for villagers and livestock owners. Additionally, doctors also lack proper means to visit different areas, and the vehicles that are available are mostly in poor condition.
Dr. M. Sujata Hegde and Dr. Ajay Verma heard the issues raised by the delegation and said that they would take necessary steps to resolve these problems by holding a meeting with the doctors and staff of the Veterinary Department. Giving a positive response, they assured that these problems would be taken up at the relevant level with top priority and necessary action would be taken.
The meeting concluded in a positive atmosphere, and the delegation expressed gratitude to the officials.
