Free Assessment Camps to be Organised to Identify Eligible Beneficiaries for Assistive Devices and Aids

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 9: A free Assessment Camp for identification and assessment of eligible beneficiaries for provision of assistive devices and aids under the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) Scheme and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) will be conducted on 22nd June, 2026 at Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Brookshabad.

The assessment camp is being organized by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), West Bengal State Office, in collaboration with CRC, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and the Directorate of Social Welfare, A & N Administration. The camp aims to assess eligible beneficiaries for the provision of assistive devices and appliances free of cost under the respective schemes. The devices may include wheelchairs, walking sticks, hearing aids, pre-fabricated lumbosacral (LS) belts, knee braces, cervical collars, and various other mobility, hearing, and supportive aids as recommended during the assessment process.

Eligibility under ADIP Scheme

Applicants must possess:

•A valid UDID Card indicating 40% or more disability.

•Income Certificate showing monthly income below Rs. 22,500.

•Aadhaar Card.

Eligibility under RVY Scheme

Applicants must possess:

•Income Certificate showing monthly income below Rs. 15,000.

•Aadhaar Card.

•A person must be above 60 years of age.

In addition to the camp at CRC Brookshabad, assessment camps will also be conducted across various Islands of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as per the attached schedule. All eligible persons from Sri Vijaya Puram and across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are requested to visit the nearest assessment camp venue as per the schedule and bring the required documents for assessment and registration under the respective schemes.

CRC A&N Islands appeals to all eligible beneficiaries, caregivers, community leaders, and local organizations to disseminate this information widely so that maximum eligible persons can benefit from this initiative.

2) 23rd June 2026 (9:00 AM–2:00 PM): PHC Ferrargunj

3) 25th June 2026 (9:00 AM–2:00 PM): PHC Baratang

4) 26th June 2026 (9:00 AM–2:00 PM): CHC Rangat

5) 27th June 2026 (9:00 AM–2:00 PM): District Hospital, Mayabunder

6) 28th June 2026 (9:00 AM–2:00 PM): CHC Diglipur
