Member Secretary ANPCC Officially Launches UCAMS Portal for A&N Islands

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 9: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, vide Gazette Notification No. G.S.R. 85(E) dated 30-01-2025 and G.S.R. 84(E) dated 29-01-2025, notified the Control of Water Pollution (Grant, Refusal or Cancellation of Consent) Guidelines, 2025 and the Control of Air Pollution (Grant, Refusal or Cancellation of Consent) Guidelines, 2025. The notifications directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), in consultation with the State Pollution Control Boards and Pollution Control Committees, to develop a unified online portal for processing applications under these guidelines.

Accordingly, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), New Delhi, has developed the Unified Consent and Authorisation Management System (UCAMS) Portal for online processing and grant of Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), and various Authorisations under the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, and the Rules framed under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.

The UCAMS Portal was officially launched for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on June 5, 2026 by the Member Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Pollution Control Committee (ANPCC)-cum-Director (Science & Technology).

All industrial units, project proponents, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders have been informed that, henceforth, applications for grant or renewal of Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), and various Authorisations shall be submitted online through the UCAMS Portal only. The UCAMS Portal can be accessed at (https://ucams.cpcb.gov.in).

All concerned stakeholders have been requested to register and submit their applications through the above portal for timely processing.
