South Andaman Police Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Liquor; Multiple Successful Excise Raids Conducted

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 2: South Andaman Police continues its sustained drive against illegal liquor, conducting multiple successful excise raids across the district and taking strict action against violators.

At PS Hut Bay, acting on credible information, a police team raided R.B. Nagar, Little Andaman, and seized 39 bottles of IMFL from the possession of Shri Bapi Das. As he failed to produce any valid licence, permit or purchase documents, the liquor was seized after completing due legal formalities. A case has been registered under Section 32, Regulation III of 1876. In another operation, PS Hut Bay also seized 26 bottles of IMFL from V.K. Pur and registered a separate excise case.

Meanwhile, PS Aberdeen conducted Three successful raids at Round Basti, near Ratna Market and Gandhi Market Old Complex, Sri Vijaya Puram, resulting in the seizure of 42 bottles of IMFL. Separate cases under Section 32, Regulation III of 1876 have been registered, and further legal action is underway.

These operations reflect the unwavering commitment of South Andaman Police towards Zero Tolerance against illegal liquor.
