PS Campbell Bay Cracks Blind Murder Case within 2 Hours

Campbell Bay, July 12: Nicobar District Police has once again demonstrated its promptness and commitment towards maintaining law and order by swiftly solving a heinous murder case reported at Police Station Campbell Bay.

On 11/07/2026, an FIR was registered at PS Campbell Bay based on a complaint lodged by Shri Gopal, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Campbell Bay, regarding the suspicious death of one Kartick Mondal near the Fish Landing Jetty area. The case was registered under relevant provisions of law and immediate investigation was taken up.

Acting with urgency and professionalism, the police team launched a swift investigation, gathering crucial evidence and leads from the scene of occurrence. Through sustained efforts, technical inputs, and field investigation, the accused involved in the case was successfully identified and apprehended within 02 hours of registration of the FIR.

The quick detection and arrest reflect the dedication, coordination and tireless efforts of the police personnel, who worked diligently to ensure that justice is delivered without delay.

The entire investigation was led by Inspector Mithun Kirtania, SHO, PS Campbell Bay, under the close supervision of Shri Samuel Fred, SDPO Campbell Bay, and under the overall supervision of Shri Rahul L. Nair, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District, leading to the apprehension of the accused person within a record time of 02 hours after the registration of the FIR.
