Sri Vijaya Puram, July 27: A Block-level Training Programme on the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 was conducted under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) on 25th July, 2026 at CD Block, Campbell Bay. The programme was attended by PRI members and Panchayat Secretaries.
The training session was conducted by Shri CH. Kiran Kumar, Domain Expert (IT) and faculty member of the State Panchayat Resource Centre (SPRC) under RGSA, Directorate of RD, PRI & ULBs. He explained the key provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, highlighting the importance of effective solid waste management at the grassroots level. The session also covered the key implementation strategies of the SWM Rules, 2026.
