Car Nicobar, July 29: The Department of AH&VS organised a series of awareness programmes on stray dogs, dog bite prevention and safety measures in several schools across the Car Nicobar Island. The programmes were conducted at GSSS Lapathy, PM Shri GSS Mus, GSS Tamaloo, GSSS Malaca, GSS Kakana and Primary School HQ. Altogether, a large number of students and teachers benefited from these sessions.
During the awareness programmes, the students and teachers were educated on understanding dog behavior, recognizing warning signs, safe practices while encountering stray dogs. Emphasis was also laid on responsible behavior towards animals and the role of the community in effective stray dog management.
