Sri Vijaya Puram, July 29: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM, (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency reviewed the A&N Islands Film Policy- 2026 and the proposed redevelopment of Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex at Sri Vijaya Puram. Hon’ble Lt. Governor emphasized that Film Policy should be aligned with the vision of promoting the Islands as a preferred destination for film shooting, while ensuring ease of filming with supportive ecosystem for filmmakers with stake-holders contribution, proper branding of A&N Islands in films. Further, Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex to be developed in a grand-way with memorials being given due importance. Chief Secretary, alongwith Senior Officers of Andaman & Nicobar Administration were also present.
