Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 16: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Andaman & Nicobar Islands (ANI) successfully organized Bharat Gyan Pratiyogita 2026 as part of the celebrations commemorating the 80th Independence Day of Bharat. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 550+ students representing 36 schools and 7 colleges across the Islands. Competitions in Quiz, Essay Writing and Drawing provided students an opportunity to showcase their knowledge, creativity and patriotic spirit. The quiz covered themes including Indian History, the Constitution, Science & Technology, Sports, and the history and heritage of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The programme was honoured by the presence of Swami Sudhanandan Ji, Guest of Honour, and Niyati Mittal, DANIPS, SP/APU, Chief Guest, whose presence and inspiring words encouraged students to pursue excellence and contribute to nation-building. V. Saran Shiva, Programme Coordinator, along with the karyakartas and student volunteers of ABVP ANI, played a key role in the successful organization and execution of the programme.
